Joe Rangel, a Cleveland native, is a distinguished jazz guitarist and vocalist. Since 2006, he has played regional and national stages both as a solo performer and as a valued sideman, collaborating with numerous bands and vocalists in the greater Cleveland area and across the United States. Rangel stands out as one of Cleveland's few musicians adept in jazz guitar and vocals, notably with a seven-string guitar. His repertoire showcases a blend of American Songbook classics alongside his innovative arrangements and reharmonizations of popular tunes.
Maria DiDonato - Artist Bio
Maria DiDonato (soprano) is a multi-talented Cleveland based artist. She specializes in classical, musical theatre, jazz, rock, and pop music. She is an award winning songwriter, music director, actress, pianist, vocalist, band leader, teacher, and church music ministry leader. She has obtained a Bachelor of Music Education with a Minor in Theatre and a Master of Music (Vocal Performance) from Cleveland State University. Maria is a professor at Cleveland State, Music Director at St. Columbkille Parish, and has her own private voice/piano studio.
Maria is the manager and lead vocalist of local band Hip to That, and she performs all throughout northeast Ohio. Some of her favorite engagements include music directing at Playhouse Square, recording an album/performing with renowned hip hop violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain, being the opening act at the Wolstein Center, and performing the National Anthem for President Barack Obama. Favorite roles in operas and musicals include Emillene in The Witch of Pompadour Court, Lucy Lambert Hale in Infamous the Musical, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, The Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Fräulein Kost in Cabaret, and the Seawitch in The Little Mermaid.
